Taiwan-based Cathay Life Insurance has made a $70 million commitment to Global Infrastructure Partners IV, managed by Global Infrastructure Partners.
Cathay Life Insurance committed $70 million to the fund in December 2018. Earlier this month, it also committed $66.92 million to Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe VI.
The multibillion-dollar core-plus fund invests in infrastructure assets such as energy, transportation, ports, and wastewater in Europe, the United States, and globally.
The fund has received six other commitments this year and is targeting $20 billion in capital commitments.
The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.
