Miami-based Catalyst Capital Management has launched a new real estate private equity fund, targeting the shortage of affordable workforce housing in Florida counties.
The open-ended fund, known as the Catalyst Capital Fund, acquires, rehabilitates and sells residential 1-4 family units located in the top 10 growth counties in Florida. According to Catalyst, the fund seeks to execute its social impact strategy to create jobs, improve target-zoned neighborhoods and generate risk-adjusted returns for investors.
“The demand for entry-level priced homes creates a preheated market for our assets — it’s a compelling risk/reward proposition,” said Andres McBeth, managing partner at Catalyst. “Our fund structure matches our target assets — short duration, high velocity — it’s a perfect fit for short term-oriented investors in today’s market environment.”
