CapMan Infra is launching the fundraising of a pan-Nordic infrastructure fund, CapMan Nordic Infrastructure I, with a target size of €300 million ($359 million).
The fund will invest across the Nordic countries in mid-sized core/core-plus brownfield infrastructure companies through either majority or minority equity investments. Investments can be selectively upsized with further capacity from co-investments from the fund investors.
CapMan Infra has invested significantly in its team by adding four new investment professionals and has promoted Harri Halonen to partner.
Torborg Chetkovich is joining the team as the third partner and will be based in Stockholm with Halonen. She has more than 20 years of international experience across the transportation sector, most recently as CEO of Swedavia, the Swedish national airport company, and prior to that as CEO of Hong Kong–based railway giant MTR in the Nordics.
Sauli Antila will join as a director in the Helsinki office, and brings to the team 15 years of experience from the energy industry, where he most recently was head of strategic asset management in the largest Finnish electricity network company, Caruna.
In addition, the team’s transaction group appointed Pekko Haaksluoto to senior investment manager and Jesse Petäjä as investment associate in the Helsinki office. Both have strong backgrounds in Nordic M&A advisory, with Haaksluoto joining from Danske Bank and Petäjä from Citigroup, where they each acquired pertinent experience from several relevant infrastructure deals.
