California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed a $15 billion funding package to tackle wildfire and drought challenges, build climate resilience in communities, promote sustainable agriculture and advance a climate agenda, in the largest climate package in the state’s history.
Gov. Newsom signed a total of 24 bills focused on climate and clean energy efforts, drought, and wildfire preparedness.
“California is doubling down on our nation-leading policies to confront the climate crisis head-on while protecting the hardest-hit communities,” said Gov.
