Cain has secured a £350 million ($460 million) refinancing from funds and accounts managed by KKR for a prime U.K. industrial and logistics portfolio, representing a significant transaction in the sector this year. The transaction is structured as a whole loan over a five-year term.
The new facility fully redeems the existing development loan and provides additional flexibility for Cain to continue executing its leasing program and managing the portfolio in accordance with its business objectives.
The portfolio comprises 24 units totaling approximately 3.2 million square feet in prime logistics locations across the United Kingdom. Development of the portfolio commenced in 2022 to best-in-class class A specifications, the units feature high eaves, generous yards, and layouts optimized for modern industrial use and business growth with excellent access to national road infrastructure.
