CA Ventures proposes apartment tower in Minneapolis

by Andrea Zander

CA Ventures has proposed the development of a 16- or 25-story apartment high-rise in Minneapolis’ Dinkytown area, reported KSTP News.

Currently, McDonald’s and Dinkytown Wine & Spirits occupy the site for the tower.

Option A features a 25-story tower consisting of about 13,000 square feet, while option B is 16 stories high and comprises 26,000 square feet. Both towers would have about 250 parking spots, below and above ground, and both options would get rid of the McDonald's and Dinkytown Wine & Spirits.

CA Ventures issued the following statement to KSTP:

"CA Ventures, the developer behind LINK at Prospect Park which opened last spring, as well as HERE Minneapolis and Uncommon Minneapolis both currently under construction, is proposing another transformative project at the gateway to Dinkytown. The developer has begun initial conversations with the city and neighborhood groups in an effort to hear all stakeholder visions for the site and will craft a project that fits this iconic location with the same detail and quality of work we provide to all of our projects."
