Brunel Pension Partnership promotes Laura Chappell to CEO

U.K.-based Brunel Pension Partnership has promoted Laura Chappell, the pension pool’s former compliance and risk officer, to CEO.

Chappell had served as acting CEO since September. She officially stepped into her new role Jan. 1.

“We had very specific qualities we were seeking for the successful candidate,” said Denise Le Gal, chair of the Brunel board in a statement. “As a highly experienced professional with a strong risk management background, it was clear that Laura had the best fit we were seeking. Laura is closely aligned with our values and the investment principles that form the foundation of Brunel.”

According to her LinkedIn page, Chappell previously held positions at Brewin Dolphin, Schroders, M&G and Bovill Ltd. before joining the Brunel Pension Partnership in July 2017.

She received her BS from the University of Exeter and her MSc from Henley Business School.
