by Kali Persall

Bruc, one of the largest renewable-energy groups in Spain, has acquired six solar photovoltaic (PV) plants from Opdenergy, totaling 384 megawatts.

Located in the provinces of Cádiz, Zaragoza, Teruel and Palencia, the new plants join the 278 megawatts that were acquired in previous transactions between the two companies. The existing plants are located in the provinces of Seville, Soria and Zaragoza.

In August 2021, Bruc and Opdenergy agreed to the sale and purchase of 20 solar photovoltaic power generation plants totaling 1,101 megawatts. With the latest transaction, Opdenergy will have transferred a total of 662 megawatts to Bruc. The development of the remaining 439 megawatts to be handed over to Bruc is progressing on schedule and will be transferred according to the agreed timetable.
