by Kali Persall

Broadshore Capital Partners has appointed Louis Leeds as senior vice president of acquisitions, the firm announced on Oct. 2.

Based in the New York/Northern New Jersey area, Leeds will manage the firm’s multifamily investment activities in the eastern United States.

“Louis is an ideal fit for our growing multifamily group as he brings a depth of multifamily investment experience and a strong track record to help advance Broadshore’s multifamily investment program,” said Brad Howe, co-CEO at Broadshore. “Broadshore has extensive investments in multifamily properties across the country, and with Louis we are expanding our team and our regional reach to support the growth of investments in the multifamily sector that continues to be in a period of increasing demand.”

Leeds joins Broadshore from Resource Real Estate Inc., where he served as a senior vice president of acquisitions, overseeing the investment and underwriting activity in the Northeastern, mid-Atlantic, and Southeastern U.S. markets.

He has also held executive positions at JRK Investors, Inc., The Hunt Companies, Capmark Investments, and Lend Lease.

In his new role, Leeds will be responsible for selecting and identifying markets in the eastern United States that fit Broadshore’s investment strategy, as well as sourcing opportunities that align with the company’s investment criteria, and securing and completing transactions on behalf of Broadshore and its investment clients.

Leeds holds an MS in real estate finance and development from New York University, an MBA in finance from LaSalle University, and a BA in economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
