BrickVest, a London-based online AIFM real estate platform, has held the first closing of Harvest Investment 5 (HV5), a BrickVest-managed real estate alternative investment fund focused on Swiss income-producing real estate investment opportunities.
HV5 has been developed in partnership with ACRON AG, a Switzerland-based real estate asset manager with a transaction volume of CHF 1.7 billion ($1.71 billion). HV5 is a core investment strategy aiming to produce a 5 percent plus annual dividend and capital appreciation over time. HV5 is available to BrickVest “access” members, BrickVest’s real estate investment platform dedicated to high-net-worth investors and family offices.
To accommodate continuing demand from European investors for access to quality Swiss income-producing real estate strategies, HV5 is exploring its option to increase its equity allocation to the ACRON investment from CHF 1 million to CHF 40 million ($1.01 million to $40.28 million) via additional fundraising through its BV Access Platform during 2018.
Following the closing of its first tranche, HV5 has made its first equity investment in a CHF 180 million ($181.26 million) asset portfolio managed by ACRON AG, comprising premium office buildings in the greater Zurich and Bern areas. The portfolio is well capitalized with equity capital of more than 30 percent and has a diversified pool of investment-grade rated tenants, including Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG, Baxter and T-Systems.
BrickVest Harvest Fund Series – HV5 is part of BrickVest’s Harvest Investment Fund Series, a group of BrickVest-managed thematic, single-strategy alternative investment funds.
The HV5 first tranche was distributed to European Investors by BrickVest Access, its AIFM liquidity platform. The first tranche was raised from 17 professional investors in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Scandinavia. These included family offices and high-net-worth individuals with sizable real estate allocations in their investment portfolios. The first tranche represented 15 percent of HV5 investors’ annual real estate investment allocation. HV5 investors can trade their interest on BrickVest Access Secondary market, one month after the first tranche closing.
