Brian Liikala, the current senior investment manager of real estate and infrastructure division for the State of Michigan Retirement Systems, has plans to retire in two months.
Liikala said during his time at the State of Michigan Retirement Systems he witnessed CRE and infrastructure evolve from niche asset types when he started in 1981 to full asset classes.
He will continue at his position until the end of the fiscal year, which is Sept. 30, and will depart a few weeks after.
A new manager will be announced in a few weeks.
