Brian Collett to retire as CIO of Missouri LAGERS in Jan. 2024

The Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) has announced the retirement of Brian Collett, chief investment officer, effective Jan. 31.

Collett joined LAGERS in 2005 as the organization’s first chief investment officer. During his tenure, he has played an integral role in the growth of the system, bringing leadership, vision, and dedication to the organization. Under his leadership, LAGERS’ assets under management have grown from $2.9 billion to $10.1 billion and produced a 15-year return of 8.5 percent as of Sept. 30, 2023, outperforming the benchmark by 1.8 percent.
