BNP Paribas REIM has collected €340 million ($403 million) from French, German and Italian pension funds and insurance companies for its Healthcare Property Fund Europe (HPF).
Structured as a core open-end Luxembourg SICAV, the fund initially targeted a gross asset value of more than €1 billion ($1.2 billion). BNP Paribas is planning to hold additional investor closings in throughout 2021.
The fund currently has an investment capacity of more than €500 million ($593 million).
The firm has seen strong demand from Dutch and Scandinavian investors, in addition to its existing base. Given institutional investor demand for HPF, BNP Paribas REIM is considering increasing the strategy’s target fund size.
