by Zoë Wolff

The Blackstone Group has raised $3.8 billion for Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe V, according to a filing with the SEC.

The fund will focus on office, multifamily, hotel, retail and logistics properties in Western Europe and somewhat in Southern Europe and Scandinavia, according to meeting documents from University of Houston System. The university endowment committed $7.5 million to the fund in February. The fund is seeking to raise $7 billion.

Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe IV, the fund’s predecessor, held a final close of $7 billion in 2014.
