A joint venture consisting of BlackRock’s Global Energy and Power Infrastructure Funds (GEPIF III) and GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, has purchased Kellas Midstream from Antin Infrastructure Partners.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kellas Midstream, a midstream infrastructure business, transports gas from the central and southern North Sea areas to the United Kingdom, where it is processed on behalf of major North Sea gas producers, according to Antin.
The business consists of the Central Area Transmission System (CATS), a gas-processing system that moves gas from the Central North Sea to northeast England, the Esmond Transportation System (ETS), a subsea pipeline in the southern North Sea, and the Humber Gathering System (HGS), a greenfield project that provides infrastructure for the Tolmount gas field in the southern North Sea.
Antin first acquired a 63 percent stake in CATS from Shell, previously known as BG, and later upped its stak
