BC Partners seeks $775m for first real estate fund

BC Partners is targeting €700 million ($775 million) for its first European real estate fund, people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

 The fund, BC Partners European Real Estate I, will target real estate assets in some of Europe’s largest cities, including London, Paris, Berlin and Madrid.

The London-based investment firm follows a pan-European and multi-asset-class approach to real estate, focused on deep markets such as France and Germany and the United Kingdom, according to the firm’s website. It considers investments in a wide range of sectors, including office, mixed-use, residential, serviced assets and retail.

BC said it also is looking into minority or controlling stakes in asset-light real estate platforms and operators with growth potential, as well as structured debt-equity instruments.
