BC Partners launches real estate strategy

London-based private equity group BC Partners is creating a new arm, BC Partners Real Estate, to focus on property investment, and has named Stéphane Theuriau, former CEO of French real estate company Altarea SCA, to lead the investment strategy.

Theuriau will establish a new team that will pursue a pan-European opportunistic investment strategy covering all real estate sectors, making direct and indirect private equity real estate investments as well as controlling and minority investments.

Theuriau joined Altarea, a real estate developer and investor, in 2009 and has worked in European real estate for 25 years.
