Barings has hired Rupert Gill as its head of portfolio management in the European real estate debt portfolio management team, the firm’s corporate website shows.
Gill is now responsible for overseeing strategy development and the execution of investment solutions for the team.
He also sits on the European real estate debt investment and valuation committees and leads the European real estate debt portfolio management team the covers private debt real estate mandates in Europe.
Gill joins Barings from BlackRock, where he was head of European real estate debt for almost seven years.
