British Columbia (B.C.) and Ottawa have signed a C$4.1 billion ($3.2 billion) funding agreement for transportation and infrastructure in B.C.
Federal Infrastructure and Communities Minister Amarjeet Sohi and B.C. Transportation Minister Claire Trevena made the announcement Monday in Vancouver.
The money includes C$2.2 billion ($1.72 billion) for TransLink, C$464 million ($362 million) for BC Transit, C$1.1 billion ($860 million) for greenhouse gas emission-reducing infrastructure, C$166 million ($130 million) to improve the quality of life in northern communities, and C$157 million ($123 million) for culture and recreation projects.
