AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has further bolstered its sector specialists team with the appointments of Joe Persechino as head of residential and student accommodation and Vincent Mezard as head of hospitality.
Joe Persechino joins AXA IM – Real Assets from Global Student Accommodation, where he was commercial operations director for the Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) region. His role included assisting with the operational and asset management underwriting of portfolio acquisitions and their subsequent integration into the platform, the specification of ground-up developments/refurbishments and fostering strong relationships with universities and joint venture partners, as well as developing the strategy on where and how to enter new markets in the region. Prior to GSA, he spent time with Collegiate AC Ltd and Unite Group.
And Vincent Mezard joins AXA IM – Real Assets from AccorInvest, where he was head of development, and oversaw the development of the real estate–focused platform of AccorHotels. Prior to that, he was opening general manager of the iconic Hotel Molitor Paris, MGallery by Sofitel, having also worked for Colony Capital and Bouygues Construction.
