Aviva Investors is sinking £45 million ($59 million) into network operator ITS Technology Group to help the company roll out full fiber networks across the United Kingdom.
ITS said in a statement that it will use the funding to expand to several new areas to build out a network that will pass at least 200,000 premises. It will also build in its current network footprint to reach more premises.
ITS operates a footprint of gigabit-capable, full-fiber and hybrid wireless networks, including wireless and full-fiber leased lines, full-fiber and wireless broadband and dark fiber.
“We are really excited to be working in partnership with an investor of Aviva’s caliber,” said Daren Baythorpe CEO at ITS. “It gives us considerable financial backing to further flex our reuse muscles and continue to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.”
