AviaRent Invest AG has acquired an inpatient care-home in the Austrian town of Unzmarkt for its European Social Infrastructure I (ESI I) special fund. The financial terms were not disclosed.
The Sonnenhof care home at Gartengasse 10, which was built in 1997, is located on a plot of land measuring approximately 6,100 square meters (65,660 square feet) and has 90 inpatient care places in 45 double rooms. Capacity will be increased with the addition of 22 new care places by the first quarter of 2021.
“We launched our ESI I fund to invest in social infrastructure assets. The fund targets demographic change and its consequences, which pose a present and future challenge for Europe as a whole. This care home in Unzmarkt satisfies all of the purchase criteria of our fund, which invests in health, education and affordable housing,” said Oliver Spiewak, senior transaction manager at AviaRent Invest AG.
