Golding Capital Partners has announced the first closing of its flagship infrastructure fund-of-funds, Golding Infrastructure 2022, with €360 million ($398 million) of capital commitments. At least 26 percent of the commitments came from new investors.
The fifth-generation vehicle is a specialist alternative investment fund (AIF) open to institutional investors making a minimum commitment of €5 million ($5.5 million). The fund has a target volume of €700 million ($775 million).
The fund has a planned life of 15 years, plus one optional extension. Its portfolio construction has quickly advanced, with five investments made in 2023 and some 14 percent of capital already called up.
Golding Infrastructure 2022 qualifies for Article 8 SFDR and will remain true to Golding’s proven strategy for infrastructure products. The only slight adjustment has been to the allocation for transaction-based investments, which include secondaries and co-investments. Two of the
