Armin Sandhoevel, CIO of infrastructure equity at Allianz Global Investors, has joined the board of directors of environmental nonprofit CDP Europe.
Sandhoevel’s career spans more than two decades in investment management, renewable energy financing, carbon risk and green infrastructure, where he has consistently developed and promoted market vehicles to protect nature and the environment. During his time as CIO at Allianz, he has closed several fund vehicles with a cumulative capacity of more than 1 gigawatt of green energy in Europe and in the United States.
He also founded Allianz Climate Solutions — the global competence center of the Allianz Group on climate and cleantech issues — acting as CEO for seven years and now serving as a member of the board of administration.
