Arlington County Employees Retirement System commits $25m to Marcus Partners’ third fund

The $2.2 billion Arlington County (Va.) Employees Retirement System (ACERS) board of trustees voted unanimously to commit $25 million to Marcus Capital Partners Fund III, according to recently released minutes for the April 4 meeting.

The fund is managed by Marcus Partners and is the firm’s third real estate-focused fund. The Boston-based direct properties and equity firm is looking to raise $350 million for the fund, according to an SEC Form D that Marcus Partners filed on May 13.

In 2014, Marcus Capital Partners Fund II closed with $250 million in capital commitments. The diverse group of investors included endowments, foundations, pension funds and family offices.
