Arkansas TRS commits $30m to core plus fund
The $16.1 billion Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has committed up to $30 million to FPA Core Plus Fund IV, according to board meeting documents.
FPA Core Plus Fund IV is a closed-end core-plus real estate fund that invests in multifamily properties. This series of funds began in 2007 and Fund IV is expected to raise $650 million. The fund will target the acquisition of existing apartment communities with upside potential in and around major metropolitan areas in the United States, according to the board document. The fund is managed by FPA Multifamily.
Arkansas TRS has a target allocation to real estate of 15 percent and an actual allocation of 12.1 percent.
