Arkansas Teachers commits $50 million to Kayne Anderson real estate fund

The Arkansas Teachers’ Retirement System (ARTRS) has committed $50 million to Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VII, confirmed Rod Graves, deputy director at ARTRS.

Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VII is a closed-end fund that is seeking to capitalize on opportunities across senior housing, medical office and student housing in the United States.

ARTRS had committed $50 million to Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners VI in 2020 and $25 million to Kayne Anderson Real Estate Partners V in 2018.

As of February 29, ARTRS had 7 percent ($1.5 billion) of its $21.8 billion portfolio allocated towards real estate.
