Argosy raises additional capital for real estate fund

by Jody Barhanovich

Argosy Real Estate Partners and its parallel funds have raised additional capital for its fourth real estate fund, Argosy Real Estate Partners IV, according to filings with the SEC. The fund and its parallel funds have now raised $205 million in equity commitments.

The firm did not comment on its fundraising efforts.

Argosy is planning to raise $250 million for the fund with a $300 million hard cap. The firm expects a final close to be held by June 2018. There are multiple SEC filings that total the $205 million for the following AREP IV funds: Argosy Real Estate Partners IV, Argosy Real Estate Partners Parallel IV and Argosy Real Estate Partners IV-MS. Argosy Real Estate Partners IV is a closed-end, opportunistic real estate fund that makes direct investments in U.S. office, hotel, land, multifamily and retail properties. The fund and its parallel funds raised $150 million in a second closing
