Ares Management Corp. saw a large jump in fundraising activity in first quarter 2025. At $20 billion raised in gross new capital commitments, Ares saw its highest achieving first quarter, signifying optimism in the real estate sector for 2025.
In addition, the firm’s assets under management reached a total of $546 billion, a 27 percent increase in 12 months, with total deployment of $31 billion, marking a 70 percent jump year-over-year and fee-related earnings of $367 million, which rose by 22 percent.
More than half of new capital was directed at credit strategies. Though questions around deployment may remain, private credit is gaining popularity and demonstrating resilience in the alternatives market.
