Ares Management Corp. has hired Stephane Etroy as a partner and head of European private equity, effective Feb. 6.
Based in London, Etroy will lead Ares’ European private equity activities and seek to benefit from the firm’s European credit and real estate platforms. In addition, he will serve as a member of the Ares private equity group’s corporate opportunities investment committee.
Ares’ private equity business includes a focus on infrastructure and power, which includes a value-added infrastructure strategy that seeks cash-generating assets with strong downside protection and potential for capital appreciation throughout the climate infrastructure, natural gas generation, and energy transportation sectors.
