Ardian will make its first investment in the Spanish telecommunications sector, with the acquisition of Adamo from EQT.
Adamo is one of the fastest growing fiber-optic operators and platforms in the Spanish market. With a focus on rural areas, the company has a footprint of 1.8 million homes covered, serving 250,000 subscribers spanning 27 provinces across Spain.
With Ardian's support, Adamo will continue to expand its network and analyze opportunities for the acquisition of new networks. The company aims to reach 3.2 million homes and expand its backbone network to more than 11,000 kilometers (6,835 miles) in the coming years. Its strategy is to deploy its network in rural areas where there is virtually no high-speed internet access, contributing with its services to bridge the digital gap.
