An Ardian–led consortium is anticipating the close of a stake in Telecom Italia’s mobile tower group INWIT as early as next week, sources with knowledge of the purchase told Reuters.
INWIT is currently Italy’s major tower operator, providing widespread coverage throughout Italy and hosting the transmission equipment for all main national operators, according to the company’s website.
According to Reuters, the nearly 50 percent stake in INWIT is expected to fetch about €1.5 billion ($1.7 million). Canson Capital Partners is investing alongside Ardian.
