Christian Krebs has been named head of investment and development at Singapore-based Aquila Capital.
He joins the firm from Energy Estate, where he served as director for the past year. Prior to that, Krebs spent 18 years at NORD/LB in a variety of roles, according to his LinkedIn page. His most recent role at the firm was head of structured finance origination, Asia Pacific, where he led a team of export and project finance specialists with a focus on renewable energy.
Aquila Capital invests across the infrastructure asset class, in sectors such as hydropower, wind energy, solar photovoltaic and green logistics.
In April, the firm’s Aquila Capital Infrastructure Fund collected more than €200 million ($216 million). At the time of the fundraise, the fund’s portfolio consisted of more than 180 individual investments in the transport and traffic, utilities, energy, telecom
