APG acquires 20% stake in data center operator OneAsia

by Kali Persall

Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management has acquired a 20 percent stake in OneAsia, a data center operator headquartered in Hong Kong.

Through the partnership, OneAsia is seeking to diversify further into North and South East Asia through a pipeline of opportunities in China, Japan, Korea and Thailand.

Following the acquisition, Legan, a company that provides solutions for critical environments, IT infrastructure, cloud and data center services in Asia, owns an 80 percent stake in OneAsia.

“We are very pleased to partner with APG,” said Charles Lee, founder and CEO of OneAsia. “We are convinced that the partnership with APG will accelerate our expansion in the high-growth data center market, especially when we are extending our network into other countries in Asia.”
