Another San Francisco building sold to Chinese investor

Thor Equities sold the Phelan building at 760 Market St. in San Francisco for $375 million to an unidentified investor from China. An official statement has not been released. Reuters namesThe Phelan Building LLC as the new owner of the 11-story historic triangular-shaped office tower.

Thor Equities purchased the 283,000-square-foot office building in 2008. The property is 100 percent occupied. Office tenants include Credit Karma, Obvious Ventures and online publishing platform Medium. The ground level totals 15,600 square feet of retail space. Tenants include Marshall’s and Starbucks. In January, it was reported there were two vacancies in the retail section of the property.
