Andel and Better Energy form JV to build out 2GW of energy parks in Denmark

Andel, a Danish energy distribution company, and Better Energy, a Danish solar developer, have joined forces to construct 15 energy parks, with a total expected capacity of 2 gigawatts peak, in Denmark between 2024 and 2028.

Each partner will own 50 percent of the completed portfolio, with Better Energy managing the development, construction and technical operation of the parks. The two companies also have outlined joint ambitions for energy storage, as well as nature and biodiversity initiatives within the portfolio.

The first four energy parks are ready-to-build and will collectively have a capacity of around 750 megawatts peak. They will be constructed in the Danish municipalities of Sorø, Vordingborg, Guldborgsund and Næstved and are expected to start production this year or next.
