Amundi plans real assets investment opportunities

Amundi is eyeing investments in the real assets class emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Paris-based asset manager told Bloomberg this week.

The firm said it is very active in the real assets space, which encompasses real estate, private debt and private equity funds, disclosed Yves Perrier, CEO of Amundi.

“We consider, in the present situation, [that] these assets are a good way of investing,” according to The National, citing the web event with Bloomberg.

Amundi continued to say that it is keeping its powder dry and cash at the ready to use when an opportunity arises.

In April, the firm made its first acquisitions in Poland and Barcelona with the purchase of Nowogrodzka Square, a class A office and retail building in the heart of Warsaw, and a new building, called SA 65, in Barcelona’s CBD.
