Through April, alternative investments fundraising in 2024 totaled nearly $37.9 billion, reports theDIWire, citing data from the investment bank Robert A. Stanger & Co.
Infrastructure and private equity offerings were the third largest fundraising class, at $7.5 billion, behind non-traded business development companies at $11.6 billion and interval funds at $8.8 billion.
Non-traded REITs reported $2.2 billion of fundraising through April. Of that capital, $758 million was raised in April.
Blackstone ($667 million) and Ares Management ($636 million) have been the biggest non-traded REIT sponsors through April, with LaSalle Investment Management ($205 million) and FS Investments ($172 million) being the third and fourth largest sponsors, respectively.
