Alcazar Energy Partners is launching the largest wind farm project in North Macedonia with a capacity of up to 400 megawatts — a key step in the company’s goal to develop the largest renewable-energy platform in the Western Balkans.
The investment, which will exceed $500 million, will go toward renewable infrastructure in the country. It will also place the project among one of the largest wind farms in the Western Balkans and will almost increase North Macedonia’s installed wind capacity fivefold once fully operational.
Financial close for the project is expected to be achieved by fourth quarter 2025, and construction is set to begin in early 2026.
The launch of the wind farm follows Alcazar Energy’s closing of its second fund, Alcazar Energy Partners II (AEP-II), in May with $490 million in equity commitments. With a focus on utility-scale renewable-energy projects
