The $3.3 billion Alabama Trust Fund has issued an RFP for commingled fund managers. The pension fund has allocated $80 million for the hired managers. Alabama Trust Fund is seeking to invest open-end or closed end core funds that invest in U.S. properties. The allocation will help the fund diversify its portfolio.
Applications are due by March 22, 2013. The RFP can be viewed on the pension fund’s homepage.
Alabama Trust Fund has a real estate portfolio valued at $76 million as of September 2012.
