Alaa AbuSiam has been promoted from COO to CEO of Egis Group’s Middle East business unit.
AbuSiam joined the firm as COO in March 2020 and led operations across the Middle East for Egis, a major international group in construction engineering, mobility services, infrastructure consulting, project management and operations.
Prior to that, he spent 19 years at Weatherford, holding a variety of roles that ultimately culminated in vice president of operations.
“Alaa is a seasoned leader with extensive international experience across multiple industries as well as a deep understanding of the Middle East,” said Laurent Germain, CEO of the Egis Group. “He is well positioned to lead Egis in the region with the goal of overseeing the growth and development of Egis’s offering across all services we provide, and to expand on our mission to positively impact the future of clients and communities in which we serve.”
