Michael Brand has joined Aksia, a firm that provides alternative investment solutions to institutional investors globally out of offices in North America, Europe and Asia, as managing director, strengthening its real assets platform.
Aksia said Brand will be an integral part of the leadership team guiding real assets. He will oversee real assets investment programs, with a focus on portfolio design and implementation.
With more than 21 years of global private markets experience, Brand previously served as the global head of real assets at Mercer Investments, where he led a team of more than 30 investment professionals and managed the firm’s real assets investment activities. This encompassed investment due diligence, portfolio management and research across real estate, infrastructure, natural resources and other real asset sectors.
