Aksia to acquire TorreyCove Capital Partners

Aksia has cut a deal to acquire TorreyCove Capital Partners, a specialist adviser focusing exclusively on private equity and real assets. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With Aksia specializing in private credit and hedge fund strategies, the combined firm will advise on more than $160 billion in alternative assets with more than 240 professionals globally.

Aksia will retain its New York headquarters, with offices in San Diego, London, Tokyo, Boston, Athens and Hong Kong, following the transaction. Five managing directors from TorreyCove will join Aksia as partners, stepping into senior management positions.

The merger is expected to result in larger and deeper research teams, broader geographic reach, pan-alternatives expertise, and a focus on technology solutions to access a wide range of research on investments as well as portfolio, accounting, and risk reporting, according to Aksia.
