AIP Infrastructure II, a fund focused on energy transition investments in Europe and North America, has added Lærernes Pension, a Denmark-based pension plan for teachers, to its investor mix.
Lærernes Pension acquired a DKK 1 billion ($152 million) stake in AIP Infrastructure II from PKA, the pension-fund administration of four Danish pension funds, according to a Feb. 11 announcement from AIP Management. The fund’s investor base now includes PKA, PenSam, Storebrand Asset Management, AkademikerPension and Lærernes Pension, as well as a group of Swiss institutional investors.
AIP Management is a Danish investment manager dedicated to investing in energy and infrastructure assets in Europe and the United States. To date, the firm has invested more than €4 billion ($4.5 billion), primarily in assets that contribute to the green transition.
