AEW launches new opportunistic real estate fund

by Kali Persall

AEW Capital Management has launched a new fund, AEW Partners Real Estate IX, with a fundraising target of $750 million, according to IREI’s FundTracker database.

The opportunistic fund follows the investment strategy of previous funds in the series by investing in assets throughout the United States.

The fund’s predecessor, AEW Partners Real Estate VIII, held a final close in 2018 with $614.85 million in capital commitments.

AEW is one of the largest real estate investment managers in the world with more than $76.5 billion in assets under management across all property types in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
