AEW Europe and Natixis Asset Management hold second close

AEW Europe and Natixis Asset Management have raised €400 million ($428 million) for their latest real estate debt fund.

Senior European Loan Fund II has a  €750 million ($802 million) target. A third close is due later this year.

The fund will target senior real estate loans supported by core office, retail, logistics and hotel assets in Europe’s main markets.

Senior European Loan Fund II has started to invest some of its capital. Its portfolio currently consists of three investments located in France, Germany and Italy, totaling €75 million ($80 million). The fund has four more transactions ongoing, totaling €100 million ($107 million).

 Senior European Loan Fund II held a first close in May 2016, raising €162 million ($173 million).

Senior European Loan Fund I raised €323 million ($345 million). It was launched in 2012 and fully invested in July 2015.
