Aecom executives announce plans to leave before end of year

by Kali Persall

Two executives from infrastructure firm Aecom have stepped down from their posts, New Civil Engineer reports. David Barwell and William Quaterman will transition out of their roles between now and the end of the year, according to termination agreements released this morning.

Barwell stepped into the role of CEO in the United Kingdom and Ireland in 2017, while Quarterman has served as COO in the United Kingdom for more than two years.

A replacement for Barwell has already been selected, while Quarterman’s successor has yet to be named. Colin Wood, who has held several management roles within Aecom since 2017, will serve as the new CEO.

Aecom is a Los Angeles–based infrastructure firm with projects spanning transportation, buildings, water, governments, energy and the environment.
