Active management has continued to present a significant advantage in global real estate securities, according to Hazelview Investments’ research, The Active Edge within Global REITs.

According to the research, active global REIT strategies repeatedly outperform passive benchmarks through the years, delivering strong returns and risk-adjusted performance. By strategically allocating across sectors, identifying value-add opportunities and avoiding structural constraints, actively managed global REITs are well-positioned to perform beyond initial projections.

Active managers are able to adjust portfolios as market conditions fluctuate, as opposed to passive global REIT offerings. This allows active global REITS to capitalize on attractive opportunities as they arise.
