Actis has acquired two sets of assets for an enterprise value of $524 million, marking a major expansion of its Long Life Infrastructure Fund 2 (ALLIF2) and its Brazilian electricity transmission platform, Skyline.
The assets include a 435-kilometer (270-mile) above-ground transmission line in the southern Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, which was acquired from EDP, as well as two assets acquired from Vinci Partners. These include a 112-kilometer (70-mile) above-ground transmission line in Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil’s far south and a substation as well as its equipment in the state of Minas Gerais. Each of these assets benefit from 30-year concessions, with at least 22 years remaining.
The transactions expand the number of assets held by Skyline from two to five, with the length of the platform’s diversified operational transmission lines increasing from 857 kilometers (533 miles) to 1,404 kilometers (872 miles).
