Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) has raised a total of €820 million ($993 million) for its second core infrastructure fund, SL Capital Infrastructure Fund II.
The fund surpassed its fundraising target of €600 million ($727 million) to €800 million ($969 million) and brought in a wide range of investors, including pension funds from companies and the public sector, insurance companies, funds of funds and family offices from Great Britain, continental Europe, North America and Asia, according to Institutional Money.
SL Capital Infrastructure Fund II seeks direct investments in core infrastructure projects from the U.K. mid-market and continental Europe. The fund invests in the utilities, transport and energy sectors.
“There are many attractive investment opportunities in our core transportation, regulated utilities and energy infrastructure sectors, and we expect to complete the portfolio in the next six to nine months,” said Dominic Helmsley
